Seven Lakes Trail and Fall Color

The trees in Alaska throughout late September all the way to late October are unbelievably gorgeous! This place totally takes on a different look during the fall. Barron and I hiked out on the Seven Lakes Trail one beautiful October afternoon to check out the scenery. We also discovered the log cabin at the end of the trail that we might book for next fall.

There were great views from the road...

The sunshine gave us pretty awesome views of the mountains across the lake...

All of the yellow leaves made the trail look like a postcard...

We definitely still took our bear spray because we were out aways from help...

The Kenai River was also full of fall color...

Then, when we got home, we saw this gal in the backyard... It never gets old! :)
