Road Trip Day 5 - Through BC and past Muncho Lake on the way Watson Lake

On Wednesday, July 19, we drove through a lot of British Columbia and made it up just past Watson Lake. We discovered Muncho Lake along the way. It was really pretty.

We also spotted buffalo for the first time on the trip, just hanging out in a field right around a curve in the Northern Rockies. One of them walked right across the road in front of us to get to some brush on the other side.

And, of course, more mountains and more mountains – everywhere we drove. Sometimes the coolest views were in the rearview mirrors.

Toward the end of the day, we went through Watson Lake and made a stop at the Sign Post Forest, where people from around the world bring street signs from their hometown and nail them up to the posts. There were tons! I wish we’d brought one from College Station.

We had a campfire and a couple of beers to celebrate our last night in Canada!
