We were up at the crack of dawn, on the road by 6:30, with a
beautiful sunrise across the tops of the mountains and the lake across from our
campground. We drove through the flatlands of Wyoming and into the mountains of
Montana. We skirted Denver and saw Von Miller's "house". We also drove around the edge of Flathead Lake in Kalispell. We were treated to beautiful mountain views all day long!
We
had a rental booked in Billings, but it reminded us of the third ward in
Houston. So, we decided to head on to Bozeman. We found an interesting spot to
stay in Livingston, just outside of Bozeman. If you ever get to that part of
the country, look up the Pine Creek Lodge. The cabins are actually old shipping
containers. They were super friendly and helpful to us. We got there after the
restaurant had stopped serving food, but they gave us three leftover burritos
anyway. It turned out to be a great stop!
